DAYC is a nonprofit organization of early childhood education professionals and
others dedicated to ensuring quality care for young children and their families.
DAYC provides leadership for professionals and families to promote partnerships
on behalf of young children with special emphasis on quality education, awareness
of developmental services, and access to resources.
DAYC is the local affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young
Children NAEYC, chapter 153,
the nation's largest association of early childhood professionals. The
DAYC is also affiliated with the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children
OAEYC. Through
conferences, workshops, meetings, publications, community education, research, and
cooperation with related organizations, DAYC works for better programs and services
for young children and their families. DAYC is committed to serving and acting on
behalf of the needs, rights, and well being of all young children, including those
with disabilities
and special needs.
Membership is open to all who share a desire to serve and act on behalf of the needs
and rights of young children.
To join DAYC, you join NAEYC and are able to select chapter 153 - Dayton Association of Young Children (DAYC) as an affilliate.
That way you receive all the benefits of NAEYC membership and enjoy the benefits of membership in local (DAYC), state (Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children OAEYC).
