Family and Community Services Specialist
4C for Children (Miami Valley) is seeking a Family and Community Services Specialist (FT, 35 hours per week)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood development, social work, or related field.
- Experience in public speaking, delivering workshops or leading groups, knowledge of group dynamics.7
- Training and experience in outreach/working with parents.
- Ability to relate to a broad spectrum of parents and child care providers.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups and manage outcomes so that objectives are achieved.
- Excellent communication, organizational and motivational skills.
- Experience in building and maintaining effective collaborative partnerships.
- Ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally-diverse families and communities with the ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate.
- A strong sense of and respect for confidentiality involving both clients and staff.
- Ability to efficiently travel between sites and in the community for meetings and events.
- Must be able to safely transport outreach display materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
